Cloud computing and data analytics are both rapidly growing areas of IT. Together, they are expected to grow by more than 26 percent annually over the next five years. That’s according to a new report on the cloud and analytics market.
Microsoft and Oracle are among the dominating players in this space. While Salesforce was an early arriving cloud vendor, its focus was primarily reporting, not analytics. The report points out that because of the growth and complexity of data, more analytics will be moved to the cloud.
