The Opportunity
We are seeking a senior Business Development Manager to actively sell from Day 1 while building the foundation of a modern, scalable sales function. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for a proven sales leader who brings an existing network, near-term qualified prospects, and the discipline to turn early wins into a durable, repeatable growth engine.
This is not a strategy-only or ramp-up role. You will be prospecting, chasing, and closing deals immediately – while simultaneously defining the sales process, operating cadence, and team structure needed to scale.
What You’ll Do
- Own new business growth end to end, from pipeline creation through close
- Build pipeline starting Day 1 by activating your relationships and qualified prospects, and expanding through referrals and targeted outreach
- Lead discovery, value positioning, and executive level conversations with senior stakeholders – you are a trusted advisor, not a vendor
- Partner closely with Delivery Leads to validate solution fit, scope, and delivery approach
- Ensure opportunities pursued are strategic, achievable, and aligned with delivery capacity
- Establish a repeatable sales process including qualification standards, reporting, and performance metrics
- Own the plan to build the sales function: define the roles, set the hiring sequence, build the onboarding playbook, and establish the operating rhythm
- Contribute to building and mentoring future sales hires as the function scales
- Lead new logo acquisition and expansion within existing accounts
- Maintain accurate and transparent pipeline forecasting

You bring a strong operating mindset, clear forecasting, and a practical team build plan that turns early revenue into a scalable sales function.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience selling technology and professional services
- Background selling around cloud platforms or enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle, ServiceNow, BillingPlatform, or similar)
- Experience in a consulting or professional services environment
- Proven ability to build pipeline from scratch and close complex, consultative deals
- Must bring an active network and near term, qualified prospects and be prepared to engage them immediately (Day 1)
- Strong business judgment and credibility with both clients and delivery teams
- Ability to design and execute an initial sales team build plan (roles, hiring sequence, onboarding, metrics) as the function scales
- Interest in growing into broader sales leadership responsibilities
