Since her short time with RadixBay, her role has morphed into the role of Marketing and Talent Acquisition. What does that mean for McKensie? Below she was asked a few questions about what a day is like for her.

Who do you report too?

Chief Operating Officer

What are your responsibilities?

Marketing – Partner with the Sales Department to increase and support sales efforts. Plan, market, track all social events for RadixBay. Post on all social media accounts on RadixBay’s behalf. Manage our SalesForce account. Designs and creates all marketing content and press releases.

Talent Acquisition – Initiates on-boarding process for new employees. Creates relationships with hiring partners to fulfill roles for our clients. Participates on higher education advisory boards to help align their goals with those that match the ones of our desired employees.  Screens and interviews candidates.

How do you spend your time throughout the day? That really depends on the day/time of the year.  I try to split my time equally between both departments, however, some days I get tied up in one.  For example, in the Spring, when there is college graduation, I spend most of my time working with those colleges to find candidates and then interviewing those candidates.  Recently, in the fall with our new Regional Sales Manager, Artie Kaloz, I have spent a lot of time on marketing. That has included working in salesforce, creating RadixBay paraphernalia, partnering with Artie to discuss how we can tackle certain prospects, events, etc.

What is the best thing about your job? I learn something new everyday. With this role, I have been given the opportunity to grow and be challenged every day. It has been a true blessing. I also enjoy meeting the new people we interview to bring on. I love learning everyone’s story and what they are passionate about.

What is the thing you like doing least in Marketing and Talent Acquisition?

Marketing – Making Lists :-) (who loves it though?)

Talent Acquisition – Letting candidates, who might not be a fit at this time, know that we will not be moving forward with them. I know it has to be done, but I am not a fan!

What career accomplishment makes you the most proud? For my short career at RadixBay – it has to be hiring our first group for the Rural Center in Tabor City!
